OP, maybe you should start a blog - maybe other bored 15 year olds
    might find it interesting ;)

Hell, you could even write a book and become the Adrian Mole for
    this millennium.

I was in school 7 odd years before the Celtic Tiger kicked off Hitcher, my parents couldnt afford shoes. We used to beat up the one or two kids in the class who actually had shoes.

I didnt even have any clothes until I was four, my parents finally saved up enough to buy me a pair of underpants....and that was it.

Id reckon on the first day of jr infants well over 60% of the kids were completely naked.

Gola runners, black with purple I think. Had a white pair of kangaroos that got destroyed from playing football (the right foot only). :)

Ah shure in my day ye'd kill a hare in the morning and skin it and wrap the hide around your feet. And be walking around on it all day it'd be nice and tender and ye'd boil it fer yer tay. And we were glad to get it.

Well, back in my day it was Dubes, with the obligitary "wrap the laces around themselves into little dangly things, rather than tie them".

    Ugly shoes to be honest.

We have to wear black shoes. You get use to it after a while ( it just looks classier)

And isn't there a general secondary school forum or whatever already?

I wore no shoes either. See the 80's thread. Shoes were a luxury when I went to shool. Also we tied our (second-hand) books up in a belt and slung it over our shoulders. School bag? pfft

    Black skate shoes ftw.

I went to school in Cork so avoided the whole dube craze but I'm sure they were more comfortable than the ones I used to wear!

Everyone used to wear black shoes with at least 2" heels! Madness!!
