Gamecube Recommendations

A friend recently offered me his old Gamecube, so I accepted, and was wondering what games I should try and track down to play with it. The only catch with the deal was that the console was free because he hadnt a single game, he'd sold them all ages ago, and had forgot he'd actually still had this console. So...I ordered Tony Hawks Underground 2 last night...and im just looking for other suggestions. Im a big fan of the Resident Evil series so they'll most likely be on my list

Super Smash Bros , Metroid one and two , Mario Kart Double Dash (Its not the best in series but still good) F-Zero , Super Mario Sunshine, Skies of Arcadia (Highly recommended) Tales of Symphonia, Mario Tennis. They are the only ones i can think off off the top of my head.

Second Resi 4 and Metroid Prime, also get Zelda the WindWaker, and the Zelda Promo pack containing Zelda Ocarina of Time and Zelda Majoras Mask.
Also get Eternal Darkness, Super Monkey Ball and Metal Gear Solid, the remake of the PSone game, it's fantastic.

To have the essential GC collection get pretty much everygame mentioned above,all awesome., especislly Zelda WW and /metroid 1. \i'dget resi 4 for the wii instead...but thats just me

I'm one of those people that thought metroid prime was one of the most over-hyped games ever (that along with MGS which isn't even an average game). Tales of Symphonia, RE4, Super Paper Mario and Skies or Arcadia are all musts. And I thought the Wind Waker pissed all over Twilight Princess.

I thought so too about Metroid Prime at first but its a solid game after. On the last boss in MP3, my first metroid game although I havn't got around to completing it yet.

Tales of Symphonia is an RPG right? I love RPGs with good stories, does it have one?

Pikmin 1 & 2 are fantastic. Chibi robo is great but hard to find. Starfox is worth a go too, bit easy but enjoyable. Star wars rogue squadron 2 is very good if your a fan, first mission is the death star run!

Another vote for Eternal Darkness, plus Metroid Prime. You can get pretty much the entire Res Evil series on the GC now, but I'd particularly recommend the RE1 remake and RE Zero.

It starts off as a poor mans Final Fantasy X in story terms but quickly evolves into quite an interesting story although it's nothing special. However if you like RPGs you really need to pick this one up for the simple fact that it's absolutely incredible fun to play. The battle system is more like Streets of Rage than Final Fantasy.

I have to recommend against Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, play it on the PS1 without the silly OTT cutscenes, and also against Starfox Assault which is just ass.

Also all the metroid prime haters should be lined up against a wall and shot for their lack of taste.

Another shout out for Pikmin 1 and 2, brilliant games.
