From left to right: Yamaha Neos, Yamaha Giggle, Yamaha Aerox

Ok I've had a couple of Aerox of the last few years and am looking to trade in for another 50cc scooter. Above are what I like the look of and would suits my needs. The Neos is a nice budget 50cc (€2200) and comes with a case on the back, I'm comfortable with the Aerox ( €2700) and the Giggle just looks funky, though I dont know a price of if its even available anywhere local?

    I did a comparison on Yamaha's site here: http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/products/scooters/scooter_comparison_details.jsp?model=tcm%3A26-205365&model=tcm%3A26-205374&model=tcm%3A26-205378

They all look good but would like some opinions from you guys. Btw I'm gonna buy it through Megabikes.

    Cheers

Say hi to Kieran for me.:)

Id go with the Aerox. Reliable, solid, well known. Water cooled afaik, which is handy for city driving. The neos would be fine, but my impression is that there are more Aeroxes about. Never heard of a Giggle.

Never heard of the Giggle, and would avoid it just due to the daft name. Been through a few Neos myself and happy enough with them, fine for carrying stuff about as well with the box on the back and the flat foot plate.

I'd go for the aerox, because I used to have one and it never let me down.

You can't get a giggle for god sake, come on!

And can I have a shot of it once you get it?

More likely get you thrown out.;)

Good luck with it anyway. If you get a bike without a topbox, kappa or givi do great ones for less than €100.

I'm 99% on the Aerox so it wont come with a topbox, I'll check those out so.

Anyone know where to look for custom paint jobs?

    Alchemy (Wicklow I think)
    Fergie Doyle (Wexford)
Sean Egan (Wexford) be prepared to wait.

Can only give you local names.:)

I pick up my sexy new black Aerox tomorrow or monday ... huzzah! Stickers will be stripped straight off.

I'm just gonna be cranky when the realisation of the restrictors kicks in :(

So are fat hippy chic's, but I wouldn't be caught dead on one :D

Actually I'm in a minority of one here, I like the Giggle.

Get a class A1 provisional licence (if you are on class M / car licence now) and you can legally get the restrictors out once the running-in period is over. Class M is restricted to 45km/h.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
