    It is available at
    [2006] 4 IR 239

You will need access to the reports in hard copy, through justis or possibly through lexis nexis in order to get it. Somtimes IEHC are available on Courts.ie but couldn't find this judgement.

Cyril Hobson v. The Director of Public Prosecutions Peart J. 16th November, 2005.

Cyril Hobson, Applicant v. The Director of Public Prosecutions, Respondent [2005] IEHC 368 [2005 No. 107 JR]

4 Irish Reports 239, is where you'll find it.

How do you write a case note? Do you just basically summarise the case in your own words while trying not to regurgitate the exact wording of the judgement and facts in the reports.

I haven't a clue and need all the help I can get.

hi guys does anyone have a citation for the actual trial of hobson???

that case is just the judge deciding whether the trial should go ahead or not!

Generally criminal trials do not get reported. The transcripts are not generally available and the decisions are made ex tempore (i.e. the judge just says what his decision is) rather than in written judgements.

In any event, you probably won't be asked to write up a case note of a trial, so the above decision is probably what you want.
