Friends just got tickets for the rugby today and are finding it hard to find a cheap city centre hotel for Saturday night, any recommendations on a cheap enough hotel? Any they've tried seem to be sold out. Thanks in advance.

I'd imagine that hotels will be fairly busy that night. You might want to try B&Bs, maybe along the red Luas line.

Try a B & B on Gardiner street, right hand side going north. Most are clean, serve a poor Irish Breakfast and you're sure of a quiet night.

The last time I checked the cheapest were Jury's Parnell St, Holiday Inn Pearse St, and Grand Canal Hotel on Grand Canal Street.
