Ok so I just ordered a mini camera off ebay and I want to get a scope mount ring and a flash light(hollowed out to fit some batteries) and mash the whole lot together to create a AEG cam mounted to the side of my G36c, any ideas or help on how to do this?

"flashingbluelite" on here has a helmet mounted camera that records to SD card, everything is internal and pretty easy to mount.,

Can you provide details of the camera?

    Linky to cam
I plan to take it apart, add a battery to it, and extend the wires to maybe the stock of the aeg.

You could fit it into a PEQ box, that way you wouldn't have to run the wires to the stock and it'd all be quite neat

you'll need a 9-12v power source for that crave, and a way of recording it too., could get very cluttery.,

Won't it just plug into a video player like an acrhos with the right lead? Hope to make the batts fit into the end of the torch.

Whats a PEQ box?-Ahhhh ok, don't think that would suit a G36c though would it? I think with a torch you can pass the cam off as a tac light

If you had a helmet then all the kit could go in your webbing and the camera on your head.

I play with a full face mask and don't want a helmet, plus i think the view would be much cooler looking down the barrel! Any1 got any built tips? like how to attach an appropriate battery pack, maybe integrate the flashlight switch into the cam switch that sort of stuff?

contact flanker tanker on youtube (actually he's called foxtrottango1 now) and ask him.hes got a gun mounted camera and its good quality.

the helmet cam is a far simpler idea, everything is contained inside a unit the size of a small torch and you can just mount it on the gun instead.,

Thats exactly what I was planning. Haven't had the time to think it all out yet though.

On biker.ie a lad had one of those to relive rides during sh1t weather, seemed very handy, good enough quality too, at least youtube standard as thats what he loaded it too, probably could be better too.

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but does anyone have any advice on the cheapest way of mounting a camera to a rifle? Something cheap that records to sd maybe!

    Thanks

    Gaffa tape?

Short of that, there are plenty of sporting cameras for the job, with RIS mounts available from a lot of US hunting shops (online) have a google for ris camera mounts )

They dont get much cheaper than these key fob cameras. This site has lots of good information on what to look out for, and how to get the most out of them.

I attach them to my bike using sticky back velcro on one side of them. You could then wrap some double sided velcro around your RIS or whatever. Secure it all with an O ring, and I guarantee it will never budge.

Nothing too amazing. But definitely worth the asking price.
