MSN wont work

hey guys,

im havin a pretty annoying problem with msn for the past while. im using vista and have been usin windows live messenger for the last ages. suddenly outta nowhere it jus stopped workin. (i can instal it, but after 5 seconds of being open, it jus shuts down) ive even reinstalled vista and tried again totally from scratch. no good. same problem.

ive tried almost every different version of msn messenger n WLM as thats what im used to using.

Im now using a program called aMSN, byt its annoying the pants offa me.

can anyone tell me if they have had a similar pproblem with messenger?...or can anyone tell me what reliable good messenger program i can use as an alternative?

well if you're running an acer there is a problem with them and you need to download a patch...I had a problem with my vista from the start with msn i contacted there help and had to disable something.Cant remeber what :P..Ill find out if you want me to ?but i this doesnt have the same symptons as mine

Any errors in the Event Viewer? (or whatever it's called in Vista)

pidgin feels awkward n doesnt really work

its not an acer. its a self built rig.

and it does register a problem in the ms thingy. it says sumthin about adobe flashplayer x. ive tried it without flash player, ive tried the most up to date recent one. ive tried older versions of it. still no good

Fair enough, I realise it's not for everyone. If you want to try iron out what isn't working i'll answer any questions. Otherwise good luck with messenger.
