    UFC 82 purses released
All together purses nearly 1 million dollars

As unbelievable as it might seem, the fighter with the largest purse at UFC 82, last Saturday, was not on the main card. However, it was the main star of the evening who pocketed the greatest sum of money, thanks to his efficiency. The State of Ohio Athletic Commission released the report of the purses paid out to all the fighters involved in the last big UFC show this Sunday, totaling 932 thousand dollars.

Andrei Arlovski received the biggest purse (US$ 105,000) just for showing took a US$ 65 thousand for his win over the Irish Jake O’Brien. In second place came Dan Henderson who received 100 thousand dollars for his appearance.

But it was Anderson Silva, who had but the third largest salary of the night (70 thousand dollars), who took home the greatest earnings, as he pocketed another 70 thousand for beating Hendo, and US$ 120 thousand for the prizes of best fight and best submission of the night, taking home to Curitiba with him a total of 260 thousand dollars. Chris Leben took the other US$ 60 thousand for best knockout bonus. All the athletes that won their fights had their purses doubled, with the exception of Arlovski.

Check out the purses paid (already with victory bonuses):

Anderson Silva ($140,000) defeated Dan Henderson ($100,000)
Heath Herring ($140,000) defeated Cheick Kongo ($30,000)
Chris Leben ($50,000) defeated Alessio Sakara ($17,000)
Yushin Okami ($28,000) defeated Evan Tanner ($25,000)

I wouldn't get in the ring with Jorge Gurgel for €3,000!!!

The difference between Arlovski and O'Brien's purses is criminal.

It was the last fight on his contract, which he probably signed when he was still on the Fight Night shows
