Usually you can piggy back routers together using the last port (4th port in a 4-port router or 8th port in an 8 port router).

What you require is to what's called 'bridge' two wireless routers together. The router has to specifically support bridging (a lot don't) and some only bridge to another router of the same manufacturer.

dont know why you would use this what is the use case?
You could use a cross over cable to connect the 2 routers they should be on different subnets if you would like to do this

Why the 4th port and the 8 port. etc etc.? whats the difference?.. would it not matter more to have one router in bridge mode and use any port you like?

It is normally enabled for the last port.

some linksys routers firmware allow it to be set to 'client' mode meaning the host router (which is the subnet the www is connected to ) servs the 'client' subnet. The client subnet does not need internet connection, only a router set to client mode with dynamic addressing disabled too.

    a better discription here. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Client_Mode_Wireless
