the only piece of information you have about any of the networks is wrong i'm afraid. they all have fine coverage nowadays.

"the best" is a very subjective term. what are you looking for in an operator? lots of calls? to who? when? abroad? lots of texts? to who? lots of calls and texts? lots of data? are you looking for a pariticular handest? etc etc

callcosts.ie doesn't take into account any of the networks' special offers such as:

meteor: top up by €20 a month for free meteor-meteor texts

vodafone: top up by €20 a month for free vodafone-vodafone texts

o2: top up by €20 a month for free any network texts.

if you're a heavy texter and make very few calls, o2 would be the best for you. but their call rate is 49c per minute on that tariff so you'd want to avoid calling if at all possible

vodafone's calls rates are 49c daytime and 19c evening

meteor is 25c anytime and you can also call one meteor number for free

I think now everyone, it doesnt matter which network u go on, we pay way over the european average for calls and texts fullstop!!:mad::mad:

the damned minister for comms sits back and lets them do what they want, charge what they want year in year out.

im with 3 myself, have been since they launched july 2005. i now get 750 minutes, 12 hrs 30 mins of calls for the 79 yoyos every month, but i can call any number any time, even uk numbers (6 hrs calls to the uk, 1/2 the allotted time).

    its a lot of talking...
