Sky and Dodgy Signal

I have Sky(the basic, not + or HD). Lately I have been getting messages when tuning into channels like "No Satalite Signal" or "There is a Technical Fault With This Channel Try Later" and one other. The numbers of the messages were 25, 28 and 30. I can get a lot of channels fine so I am getting a signal. Anyway I rang Sky and it seems the LNB may be out of alignment and they want to charge me €100 for somebody to come out to fix it. I am wondering how hard it is to do this. Is it like an ordinary aerial where you move the LNB to get the best signal or would I be better spending the €100 on a signal meter so I can do it myself and have it for further use, how difficult is it, or should I fork out the €100.

If I was to get someone in to do it does anybody know anyone in the Dub 15 area that does this type of work.

No need to spend 100 euro on a meter, a cheap satfinder will do this for you. Bear in mind that it could be other causes other than alignment, ie cable fault, lnb or digibox faulty.
