Myself and the girlfriend are going for a week (beginning 17 March), we are going to disneyland paris for two days, to some shopping outlet for half a day so we have two and a half days to sight see :)

    where should we go?

Buy a guide book. Or just search the web for sites listing the top 10 things to do in Paris and pick a few to try out. It'll be impossible to do/see *everything* but without know what type of person you are it's impossible to say what to see/do.

For exmaple are you looking for nightclubs or want to know the best Opera to visit? :)

I presume that you're going to go to the Tour Eiffel, visit the Louvre, and probably get a boat trip up the Seine. I don't know if you'll have any more time left after that :)

Best bet to do is look up all the travel sites like www.tripadvisor.ie and buy a good guide book. There is so much to see in Paris, i'm sure you'll have no problem filling in 2 and half days sight seeing - sure you'd nearly spend half a day watching the world go by in a cafe or queuing for the Eiffel Tower!

    Enjoy!

as people said, loads to do. some suggestions:
    - museum? louvre or musee d'orsay (spellings? sorry)
    - stuff to see: eiffel tower (obvious 1!), arc de triomphe, notre dame
    - boat trip? we went on a boat along the seine at night, it was nice :)

+1 for all of these, although preferred the Musee D'Orsay to the Louvre and could also add the Pompidou Centre if you like Modern Art. I recommend, Rough Guide to Paris, was essential to our trip there and helps finds nice places to eat. We went one night to a place without consulting the book and were robbed by a bunch of cowboys with their expensive prices for crappy food!!

One tip: Service Charge is added into prices in restaurants already, so don't go adding a 15% tip onto every bill!!! Wish I'd learned that the first couple of days...

PS Disneyland Paris is extremely do-able in one day, it's much smaller than the Florida equivalent, and you'll get everything done and seen if you go early and leave late!! This may be a better option, as in Paris itself you could spend a LOT more time than 2 and a half days, so much to see, it's an amazing city!!

i have to agree this is good advice.also i would recomend the big topless double decker busses.i think they were called le carte rouge or something, they basically drive round all the major attractions and you can hop on and off all you want.

Where is the outlet mall and is it good?
Heading from 3 days with my girlfriend, if anyone has good ideas of where to stay (somewhere a bit different, boutique hotel?) on a fairly decent budget (ca. €500 total)?

I think the outlet mall is out beside Disney. I don't know what it is like because Disney is a fair trek outside Paris and didn't want to make that journey again, especially since there is so much in the city.

Can't remember the name of the place myself and himself stayed, in general Parisian hotel rooms are quite small, check Trip Advisor to find some you like, then find the website that is offering the cheapest rates!!!
