    Hi All,
The wisdom teeth have decided to act up (perfect timing, thesis due next week!). Not a regular goer so wondering (very student question), when i go for the first consultation do i need to pay upfront after the appointment for whatever treatment i got??

Any other students going to the dentist at the moment? I wonder is there any assistance benefits for students? I'm also on my mum's option B VHI.

    Any advice appreciated...

It's very unlikely that on your first visit they would do anything more than give you a general check up, take xrays and maybe clean you're teeth so the cost of that visit would be less than €100. I had to go recently and got all the above plus a temporary filling for €90. But you would be required to pay it in full after the consultation. The dentist would also outline the options you have and give you time to consider them
