hey just wondering does anyone own the steyr ssg from <snip> and if so what is the effective range of it?

Well if there was very little wind and you were using around .3g bbs i'd say you would hit somone. I can hit a coke can at 120 feet with my m24.:D

For the price you can't really go wrong. Try to have a close up look and or hold one before hand, if your happy with it go for it.

i bought one and have to admit beinng very supprised. i've used the vsr and the ssg alot and personally think there is no difference at all.

Man, I re-read that post and couldn't believe I actually posted it. On initial reading it sounds very condescending, but I think at the time I meant it as a kind of, "really? I didn't think you would get that far" as opposed to "nah, you're wrong and im a cock"
