Is this on this Friday then or will it be the 500 IO qualifier or both?? If not on will more than likely be down for the sat for the main event

Both games will be on. And the guarantee is €3500 not €4000. Sorry my mistake. Mods is it possible to change the header.

    Thanks

by my maths this will be a 6.30 am finish? or is that only if all levels are played. looks like a great game JP. will probably donate on friday if albert is not playing, no point in playing if he is at the rate he is running.

    Hey Jeffy,

During February the game was ending between 5am and 6am. With the 4K starting stack and 5K or 6K rebuy or top up then the average stack was 9.5K. Also with the rebuy period we didn't really loose players untill after the break where as with the freezout there would be a number of players out before the break and less chips per player in play so it should finnish earler.

Preamble: sadly i have not been able to get beyond the 50-100 level of the last four tournaments i've played.
    Strategy: late entry!!!! :p

but there's an early bird chip!!!

    I JUST DONT KNOW!!!

New Strategy: Arrive by 8.30, register, then go play bingo, come back at 9.30... win tounry, tip enough so Nick can afford a haircut... everyone wins!!

    Stacks:
    Chip leader 135k
    Me 60k
    Sean Ryan 45k

Blinds are at 1500-3000 with a 300 ante and about to go up 2k-4k. its 3.45am if that matters. orignial pay out is:

    1st: €1300
    2nd: €800
    3rd: €500

4th place has just busted... and chip leader, who wants to go play cash in town suggests a deal...

chipleader has earned his stack, and is one of the better players i've seen play tournaments and i don't think he's going to surrender a chip lead easily and sean is not going to make any mistakes.

everyone, i.e. chip leader/sean/dealer/random observers all say take €300 off first and give to 3rd... and we all go home...

obviously i ended up doing the deal, but i'm not sure if i'm happy about it cos if i get heads up i could probably get a better deal, or even if we played it on for a bit and the chips evened up a bit a 3 way cop could have been done.... any thoughts?

If the money meant something to you and the extra 300 matters then it's ok in terms of chips etc. Personally I think it's awful. Oh and congrats!

re this game, nick mentioned a possible change to the guarantee and to the structure. i suggested 7k starting stack instead of 8k. ( i know it says its only 7 but when everyone gets the early bird chip its effectively 8k). also a 22min clock would take half an hour off a 10 level game. but 7k + 25 min clock is perfect i think.

Huh? Why change it. I was thinking of playing it again next week and all. :(

by change i dont think it was going to be anything drastic. as it was is fine, but we were discussing how it may have to change if the game started to get 40+ runners. 29 runners last week finished at 4am with a 3way deal.

Was at Winners for the first time last nite, 30 runners.. Played too tight and came 8th. Play was of decent standard and I enjoyed playing in this tournament. I especially liked the convenience of having a blackjack table on the same floor so I could gamble during the break!:D I enjoyed visiting Winners-with 30 runners and 3.5k gtd, it was good value. Also good service and friendly atmosphere. Will be going back again. Cheers
