    *clears away cobwebs*

So what gaming groups are about? A good few colleges have them and I know a few wargame clubs in Dublin. Just moved to Galway and wondering if they are any RPG groups around here :) I know there is FanSci in NUIG but it is a push to make that after work :(

I would suggest trying to make some of thier events and meet the gamers and go from there. the Sin boards are also helpful, I would suggest buying Sarky a pint him being one of the old men of gaming out that way and seeing if he can hook you up.

Itzacon is on this weekend coming.

Wait now, when did that happen?! I'm still hip and home with the downies! I'm still "with it"!

It certainly is. Bring your top hat. Lord knows I'll be bringing mine...

And yeah, besides the shameless plug, if you go you'll get to meet a lot of the "old heads" who don't come round FanSci much anymore, there should be plenty of chances to get scooped up into any games they're running at work-friendly hours.

Yes 'hip' as in replacement and the 'home' where the other retirees humour you and your talk of tentacles.

Pigswill is a name for a great new rum, right?

Well I guess that sounds like a plan, also curious if Itzacon will be done in or have a bar considering everything in Galway appears to have one - bowling alleys have bars..cinemas have bars..damn, I should check if the chruchs have them..

Friday and Saturday night will involve Monroe's on Dominic Street. Expect a table quiz, some competitions, and late night LAN gaming in the place across the street. The con itself is in NUI Galway, IT and Orbison buildings at the back.

Actually would you believe i was planning on rolling on up to Itzacon this weekend, unfortunatly now i cant as i have a pretty good excuse (i even have a note from teacher to prove it)

I cant come to itzacon because in 16 days time (12 from the day itzacon starts) i'll be in Las vegas and i need all the money i can get my hands on to survive in vegas. Now trust me on this one i spent many a night burning the midnight oil deciding. In one hand i had itzacon and in the other i had las vegas.

In the end Las Vegas won but I will make it up by coming to the con next year and splitting my winning from vegas with the con organisers. since im going to be coming back stinking rich.

    hows that sound?

Sounds good. Maybe I'll be able to afford a real swordcane for next year...
