Where can I get in touch with people that would be willing to publish stories?

    Do any magazines do it?

The best site I know of for searching fiction markets. Lots of avenues for short stories there (although little to none in Ireland).

Just a thought...No one wants to touch an unpublished writer. But the will give you the time of day if you have won a competition or two. it is a great way to get into print and meet other struggling writers..Also the few bob does not go astray. Good for the ego too
