If both are injured, then Kearney will get an opportunity that he might have had to wait a couple of seasons to get !!

    |If so, then Bowe & Horgan on the wings, Fitzgerald on the bench ???

thats just too much change for Eddie to handle - would be good to see though. i thought Kearney was brilliant against the Scots

Would be much happier if Girv starts - do you really want this as your last line of defence!!

It's an attempted tackle he made on Chabal in a Guinness Premiership game.

    That was brutal. Jesus wept.

Kearney I imagine. He'll be starting there come Autumn ahead of both anyway I'd say.

And yes, that is a shocking attempt at a tackle.

Kearney / Gavin Duffy would start at FB.

My god that's one awful attempt at a tackle from Murphy.

    Girv all the way.

I would say/hope if Turnstyles or Girv does not make it that the back 3 will be Kearney at fullback with Bowe and Horgan on the wings.

Ah, the lesser spotted O'Gara tackle, rarely caught on film, only appears every few years ...

I thought he was tackling more than usual in that Scotland game (I remember thinking don't do that you fool you'll get injured and then we will be proper screwed) and some recent Munster matches, might be my imagination though I tend to drink when I watch rugby.

There's no doubt that he's throwing himself around a bit more these days it was an area that was targeted and in fairness to him he has improved a great deal there now. Personally I think alot of being a good tackler is psychological anyway, maybe O Gara and Murphy were too self conscious(fearing injury, and big centres) about tackling and ROG certainly seems to be more mentally up for it these days. Here he is again...

not cool buck65, not cool at all. A family in africa could live forever, for the bandwidth that clip has wasted.

O'Gara had bad tackling technique and poor upper body strength which meant he got run over a lot. He's worked on it and improved though. Murphy, on the other hand, just seems to not bother trying half the time.
