    Hey,

I'm heading over there in a few weeks with my boyfriend for a week so thinking about that myself at the moment. So far the baths are at the top of my to do list. Aparently they're fab. Don't really have much else planned yet tho.

Just back from there this weekend. Fat Mo's is a good resturant if you like Creole kinda food. Easy town to get around.

Drink and food were cheaper then here. Went out to Momento Park for the old Soviet/Communist statues which was impressive as was the Terror House which was the Nazi Head office in Budapest a very moving place indeed.

Depends what your intrets are rally.

By the way some baths were men only and had days that women were allowed. Not all but some just keep that in mind.

The baths that were down in the park, were unisex, outdoor and indoor.

Go up the mountain/hill as well to the old military base, some great views from there.

Old world magic, budapest offers breathtaking classical architecture but also stunning vistas across the wide, romantic Danube . Here are a few things we did and loved it.

I recommend visiting the Gellert spa for a start, Old world Turkish baths that despite being in the process of being renovated offer a lovely experience to all who visit. I also suggest booking yourself in for a Siam Thai massage while you are there. About €45 for 90 minutes of pure pleasure.

Other than that walking around this city is lovely. Stroll down andrassay boulevard visiting the lovely shops, cafes, restaurants along the way.

On the other side visit Parliament buildings again iconic and a great photo to be had. Anotherone of the city’s popular but more bizarre attractions is Statue Park, containing the giant figures of the Communist era that once filled the streets of Budapest. This is a trip to behold.

I also recommend renting an apartment as some of the classical apartments are truly unique and offer better value for money. We used a company called budarentals who specialise in high quality yet affordable properties and we had a lovely. All in all this city is a great break away.

Hi hi! I'm off to Budapest - with a group of 5 girls in their mid/late 20s. We're going end of October for 3 nights - can anyone give me what they would prioritise to do in Budapest? What's the weather like? I realise Google is my friend in all of this, but sometimes, it's just better to hear from someone's personal experience. Thanks!
