Has anyone dealt with these guy in Spain before?

I want to get my Jim Dunlop Cry Baby modified for true bypass somewhere.
These guys do it for about $28 US. Keely is about $80 + postage and maybe customs problems.

Also i have a poxy Boss CS-3 compressor which i would use if the mod from Pedaldoc is good......the Keeley compressor is fricken expensive.

I got this reply from pedaldoc.com

'We charge 35 euros for the mod but you will have to pay for the
shipping back to Ireland which would be around 20 euros.'

    Regards,

    Iván

    Anyone got any thoughts?

20 euro for shipping is kinda pricey, could you not do the mod yourself?

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/wah.html
    http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/mods/dunlop.htm

These two pages should have most of the information you'd need to do it yourself. :)

    Go for Pedaldoc.

I installed one of their Cs3 kits last year and my compressor really sings.

The kit got to Scotland very fast and was pretty easy to install.

And it cost 23 USA dollars which considering the effect it produces is very little.

I have dealt with Iván, the owner of Pedaldoc, a few times over the last years and I can tell you he is a honest guy who works hard to make the best out of stock pedals. My Ts9, Cs3 and Ds1 were modified using Pedaldoc´s kits, and they can´t sound any better.

I modified the pedals myself, by installing the components and instructions Ivan sent me, so I didn´t have to pay pricey shipping charges.

Why not send it over to Moose in Dublin? I'm not sure how much it would be but he fixed a pedal for me a couple of years ago and it was very reasonable!

Does nobody else find it extremely suspicious that those two posts are from people who've never posted before?

I'd recommend getting Moose to do it for you, it'd save a lot of time and hassle, and would probably end up cheaper.

+1. He did a Keeley mod on one of my mates DS-1 pedals, think it was around 30 quid and it sounds great!

One did register in 2008 though. But, yeah, my first impression was the same.

I do the true bypass mod for €25. Can probably do the CS-3 mod too but have to look it up first. They're a heavy pedal to post but I'd reckon less than €20 Dundalk to Dublin and back again.

    Moose

Wow.......my old thread from 2008.

Yep, two posters that only have one post each. One from 2008 and the other 2012.

I don't have the wah anymore. Never did get around to the pedaldoc.:)

But i still have the Boss compressor. Maybe i will give you a shout Zafo.
Jaysus, that Boss i bought 4 years ago for a mod still hasn't been done. Just shows you how busy i am.

Oh yeah, just noticed that now.

The two posts are deeply suspicious then! They sounds like someone reading from a script. A bot perhaps. Boo-urns.

    Hey guys!

I´m just a guitar player who wanted to contribute in a new forum, so I don´t understand your concerns. Next time I´ll talk about the weather. Maybe that will make you happier.

People can be suspicious of a first post bringing up a four year old thread, don't take it to heart and welcome on board.

Darren give me a shout if you want that CS3 modded for ya. :)

Yeh, must do. I even contacted Brian Wampler on Facebook recently and he didn't reply.

Had a look at your Facebook page and am interested in a few builds.

    Cool.

I think Brian is concentrating on the Wampler pedals line these days, I did find a pdf of his mod suggestions for the CS3 though.

If you google "how to modify guitar pedals by brian wampler" it should bring back a pdf full of possibilities.
