I wonder if anybody could shed any light on how to become a CSPE or TEFL teacher in Ireland? I have searched the web with not much luck, the only qualifications I can find are 20/40/80 hour courses etc and I am not sure they would be recognised by the relevant authorities to teach these subjects in this country.

im not sure about TEFL, but to be a CSPE teacher, ideally you should have done either politics or sociology as a degree subject. there is also an actual course that some teachers can do as a kind of "add-on" to be qualified, but don't know much about this.
