Changing schools as a permanent teacher??

    i am considering leaving my permanent position in my current school and taking up a new permanent position in another school. just wondering how long can my current school hold me before they have to release me to the new school. kind regards

    You shoud check your contract and see what it says. If you have a definite starting date in your new place then it's probably up to the goodwill of your current PO to let you go providing s/he can get a replacement. Bear in mind how long that will take - advertising, notification of interviews etc.
