My first impression was that there is no 'hook'. When I opened your website there was nothing to grab my attention, you perhaps need a call to action, 'get fit for the summer' or '10 one to one fitness classes for the price of 8'.

    Just a suggestion.

The other possibility is that the wrong people are looking at it.

Hope this is of some help.

    Regards.

    Hi Dawei,

The first thing I'd suggest you do is move this section.
    Baji chuan

    Chi Kung

    Class schedules

    Contact details

    Location

    Personal Training

I'd suggest moving it either to the bottom of the page or put in the right column (sidebar). It's easy to do in Wordpress, but I don't use TypePad, so can't tell you how to do it, but it's probably in the Edit Template section.

    Next,
    Benefits ... benefits ... BENEFITS :)

Write down what your classes do for people and then change them to a benefit.

Put them just below this section.
Get fit NOW for the summer

50% OFF for the first 5 sessions

    Offer ends 15th March

Here are the benefits I came up with, better Fitness, better self confidence, less stress, more energy.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
    Eoin

i looked at your website its not that public, i would of not knwn about it untill you said it!
the best thing you can do is print out flyers or leaflets of exactly what you do, hand them around the local town etc. put up posters in popular places..
and through this people will start talking about ur business, then you will start to get more business through "Word of mouth" also try a promotion sale on the flyers, like first tuition free or something.
    print out business cards.
    best of luck

Darlinglou- I have flyers out, business cards, not yet. Also google adword, On average I get 60 views per day. What do you think the contents in the site? Is there anything you would suggest to improve? Thank you

    Hi, Dawei,

I couldn't access your website. Is there something wrong?

If so, please check it, because the most important thing of a website is that people could visit it.:)

I'm coming at this from a programming / user not marketing view point so please excuse.

Your website is not bad, but in terms of presentation it could do with a tune up. For example, you don't need a heading "categories", you just list the pages you want to point to.

For the location maybe try include a map. In the "About" section loose the email link and use the about section to discuss your thoughts and your business etc, you need to fill this out a bit more. Also when you click to this page there is no link back to the main page and no navigation menu on the left.

A basic rule of web development is that you try and give a cohesive look to every webpage so that no matter where you are you can get to the main sections using the same navigation options.

On the Baji quan page you've got the text wrapped on the right of the pics this makes it difficult to read so perhaps move the text to below the pics.

There are a few simple things you can do to improve the look of your site, but overall it's not bad. I would think that what you really need to do is get out there literally and tell people about your business by ads in local mags etc.

The website is an extra not the end in itself.

    My two pence,

get a .ie domain www.sanshau.ie or something like it. Looks more professional.

Use google ads to drive people to your site. Use key words like "martial arts"

I may be wrong, but it looks like the design is a template. Get someone to do a good, eye catching design.

Offer a free class and make that prominant.

Deliver leaflets to houses in your area.

Put posters up in local shops/community centres.

    Thanks for your time

I will get an ie or .com domain, but not just yet

The rest of the stuff you were saying , I have already been doing.

What I don't understand is that I have a reasonable amount of visitors a day, but my business is just not getting better, of course it will, but I haven't found the solution yet.
