How to configure one remote for UPC and TV

I've just changed TV and the UPC control doesn't work right with the TV (I didn't expect it too), the volume button changes the channel for example. How do I configure the UPC control to correctly control my TV as well. The UPC technician configured my old TV to work with the same control!

See page 8 for setting up the remote and page 35 onwards for relevant code for your TV/DVD equipment.
