Armagh Vs Monaghan

Just before I start im an avid Armagh supporter:

Anyone have any views on the game?

I thought Armagh showed a vast improvement over the Westmeath match and I think we have found a great new free taker in Tony Kernan as well as a new goal poacher in Aidan O Rourke:D

2 things that baffled me today about Armagh......What is up with Ronan Clarke?? I know he is back from injury but this is his 3rd match and still nothing to show reall. And why can our midfielders not catch a ball (the breaking it for other players has been worn out at the stage).

And I am trying my hardest not to blame referees for Armagh getting results but today John Bannon didnt help my cause!!

As a Donegal man I am well used to watch ing Armagh over the years and feel that this year they will be all Ireland contenders again. The reason why they dont clean catch ball in the middle is cause this slows down the momentum of an attack. A player who fields a ball is surrounded by 3 players and is forced into overcarrying or loosing it. If a man breaks it to a teammate moving quickly and attacking, the move is much more threatening.

I wasat the game an i agree the Ref was poor but he did us no favours either. \Tommy Freeman was getting dragged rount the place and nothing was done. In fairness though it was a poor enough standard of game and we'll both have to improve if we're gonna win anything.

Great to see monaghan in the same calibre as armagh now after twenty odd years in the shade. How do you rate our chances/Improvement?
