I'm thinking of purchasing this for 750euros. So just b4 I go and buy it I was wondering if it's a good buy? Should I be looking at something else and should I wait for something else? It's a bedroom tv and it'll be used mainly for watching movies and tv shows. Many thanks in advance!

at 750 its a god price for that tv.

watching tv shows, from tv stations or dvds??

if from tv stations, the you'll need digital TV as analogue TV looks crap on any lcds i've seen (including my own Panasonic 26")

I wouldn't be watching much analogue tv on it. Mainly downloaded stuff and dvds. But will be watching downloaded tv episodes on it. Guess that'll look sh** on it as well if it isn't in hd format?

nah, it should look good. most of the american shows online are shot in hd and compressed down. but the compression is still very reasonable. like my downloaded prison break look good and they are the "standard" size

And also Big_moe, can u tell me a good way of gettting downloaded movies/tv episodes (divx/avi etc.) onto the big screen. Been using scart and phono cables b4 but any other better alternatives? Seen dvd players with a hard disk and a usb connection to upload through a pen drive etc. And they also have hdmi connection. Or maybe a multimedia hard drive?
