Re-invent yourself (Possible)

    I got sacked for crashing my company car while over the limit. Had to give up the drink and totally re invent myself. Went to stubbs gazette and found a company that had gone bust, but website was still up. copied the logo, made my own stationary, wrote a glowing reference, had to give a mobile number(Of a Friend) cos company was gone bust.
    Gave up drink, got the job, thats 5 yrs ago, moved up and thinking of moving on. Not honest I know, but sometimes when ur back is against the wall, You got to do what you have to do.M

    his point is that you can fake references from bankrupt companies. I know of other people who have gotten jobs with similar sorts of lies on their cvs. I wonder how common it really is.

    No, dodgy. YTou are giving very bad advice here (that is if it is advice, and not some sort of odd boast). Most HR people will not accept a mobile number, and would expect a landline.
