Front Row remote not working

    Hi all,
dad just got a new aluminium iMac -- it's spiffy & much better than the old PC it replaced :D
But the Front Row remote doesn't seem to work -- the only buttons that do anything are "Menu" & the "-" button, which scrolls down.

Is this a bug in Leopard*, or should I take the remote back for exchange?

*upgraded from 10.4.10 to 10.5 with included upgrade disc, then updated to 10.5.2 via 'net

could just be a faulty remote, only thing you can do is try your remote on another front row capable machine or borrow someone elses remote to check that its not a software fault which is very unlikely but easy to rule out.

    Like this, I'm assuming?

How does the Remote pair itself up with a Mac, anyway?

infra-red. on the imac the infra-red receiver is the Apple logo.

Note on Leopard - A lot of peeps are having bugs with front row. Sometimes the dock disappears for me, though the new update should have fixed this. you did upgrade to 10.5.2?
