Laptop audio to bluetooth headset

I got a Dell Bluetooth headset with my laptop. Its really handy when connected to my phone. When its connected to my Laptop the only settings (that I can find) are

"use the connection to listen to the music"

    or

"use the connection for phone or dictation"

This means I cannot listen to any internet sites such as youtube. For the audio to be played into the headset it has to be played through music software on my laptop, such as itunes or realplayer.

Anyone know of thing I can do to listen to all audio from my laptop?

Not to sure to be honest. Still havn't got a grip of Bluetooth. I think it is connected through a Windows program only because it has a "My Bluetooth Places" in My Computer.

    If you are using XP:

    Goto Control Panel
    Sounds and Audio devices
    Audio
Sound Playback default device - change that to your Bluetooth headset.

Well this works with my wireless Skype phone anyways.

I have bluetooth in my vista laptop, tried my brother's bluetooth headset ages ago just to see if it would work (it does) and what i found was that if i connected the headset while sound was playing (be it from media player, internet, whatever) the sound would still play through speakers, and not the headset. If no sound was playing when i connected them, once i started to make noise in windows, the headphones would work... Odd i know...
