    "City of Death"
    "Pyramid of Mars"
    "Caves of Androzani"

are all classic titles - two from the 4th Doc and the final from the 5th.

oddly enough, if you go to the shops there isnt that much of a selection, although what is there is quite good.

Agree with Pyramid of Mars, very good start.... Rememberence of the Daleks is very good, in fact the two doctors is good as well....

    The Invasion

    The Sea Devils

Try to get Baker from before 1980, after that he was just having a laugh. As I posted before somewhere here I think some of the McCoy stories are unfairly regarded.

Caves of Adrozani, Genesis of the Daleks, Kinda, Seeds of Doom, Warriors Gate, Enlightenment, Tomb of the Cyberlads, Terror of the Zygons, Revalation of the Daleks, The Daleks, Daleks Invasion Earth, The Sheer Lack of Consideration of the Daleks, Teatime of the Cybermen, The Pyramids of Kinnegad, An Unearthly Spar.

The last four are hard to find but the rest should be in Tower, Laser, etc.

The thing about Dr Who is that it's format is strong enough to tell just about any story in any time period. It really depends what you're after.

A few of my favourites include:

'Genesis of the Daleks' - slick production values for the time (even if it all seems to be set in one basement). Great villain. Musings on topics such as morals with regards to weapons research and whether one has the right to wipe out an entire species no matter how evil they become. Above all a well written story even if it should be an episode shorter.

'Caves of Androzani'- gun running, expoilation etc. Takes a bit of getting used to for some people.

'Talons of Weng Chiang' - probably not the 1st one I'd recommend. In places, style over substance, but it's very memorable.

'City of Death' - clever script by Douglas Adams of 'Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy' fame. Not terribly action orientated but well written

Overall, see what takes your fancy - you'll find a lot of trailers on youtube

Thanks for the suggestions. I am compiling a list :)

I hear, as the pope said, some of Sylvester McCoys later is stuff is actually quite good. I remember it as a kid, might investigate that too.
