LEDs and Neons

    I've been looking around online for some nice interior lighting options for my beloved mk5 Golf. I see that some sites offer LEDs and others offer neons.
    A mate of mine has cold blue neons in his 00 Ibiza. Their colour and spread of light are fantastic. On the other hand I have seen videos on youtube that make LEDs look pretty damn impressive. More specifically, the IceLED UFO kit which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81UM5sdeWP8. I'm not sure which to buy though.
    So, as someone new to modding I turn to Boards for some insight!
    What are the differences between LEDs and neons? Advantages/disadvantages?

    eBay would be your best bet, plenty on theyre cheap!..The difference between LEDs and neons is that LEDs are generally ALOT stronger than neons and in most cases give out better light. Neon tubes would break if the wind blew on them where as LED tubes are alot more flexible and resiliant. Theres no contest really, LEDs all the way. Althought I personally wouldnt bother with interior or exterior for that matter lighting as I think it makes the car look abit tacky. But its your car dude and if you want them, get em! :D
