Real quick thanks to Mr. Gappletastic who put on one hell of an MMA Legue event tonight. In a real rush but wanted to post this, will thank everyone tomorrow.

Ran very smoothly I must say!...ushers/timers were top notch:Dlol But on a more serious note, it was a great event, seen a lot of fighters that improved big time since I seen them last, we had a lot of guys asking how to get into mma and where the nearest gym to them was etc which is always good to hear!

Everyone from Spartan MMA who made the trip really enjoyed themselves, we'd some wins, some losses, but we wer overall very happy with our performance. It might be a week or two before I get vids uploaded.

If I'm forgetting anyone, apologies.

Good event. I had the jinx of the head shot though, I reffed about 15 matches and disqualified 5 people for illegal strikes! Just quick note though, if you're competing in one of these matches and you or the other guy hit to the head, don't turn around and try to guilt the referee into letting the match continue. We can't do it! One guy almost hugged me to try and get his opponent off the hook. Great sportsmanship though.

Most people were okay about it but I'm still laughing at the guy who hit a fella with blatant left hook to the face and turned around and tried to get the crowd to support him. He was like Gladiator. "Are you not entertained!"

alot of new faces up in galway this year
some good hard fights in this round
the 150mile drive from waterford was well worth it

Yeah that was great except I'm pretty sure I was on the end of the hook, and my next one was only 8 seconds long, I win by having a head people just want to punch....not sure if thats such i good thing lol

Thanks to everyone for turning out on Saturday it was an awesome event, I'll post the results and official thanks to the many folk who helped out in the afternoon.

Great event! Some great fights this year, the standard has definitely improved. The head shot rule was annoying as ever but it IS needed!

Everyone from our club really enjoyed the event and we should have a few more people lined up for the next leg if it doesn't clash too much with exams!

Thanks again to Mark for hosting such a great event and to everyone else who made the day run smoothly!
