My new Dell comp just arrived - it has a Broadcom wireless card but it keeps tellling me that I cannot connect to my wireless network. The router is right beside the computer but it just keeps giving me this problem. Sometimes it works but the majority of the time it does not

Obviously I could use a LAN cable but I want to get this working

I use WEP security and I have the correct key in the security settings, so I cant think of any reason why it wont work

    Any ideas

    Regards

Login into the router and switch off WEP. It you can connect after that, setup WEP again (although you should be using WPA as WEP is easily cracked).

even when I turn security off it says Cannot Connect to network

When I say Diagnose the problem it says Windows did not receive any response from the wireless network

However, when it picks up the network its full strength [its right beside my computer] so I cant figure out wtf is wrong?
