    Make and model of webcam?

The best place to find out is the manufacturer's website.

Alternatively you could just google the make and model.

Why am I not really surprised that you needed to ask that question!

There was a very logical reason for it really. Since you had to ask I won't go there.

Anyway, to put you out of your misery, "No it will not work on Vista".

    thanks for your "help" gadget.

I went into a shop, saw the web cam, thought it was something that was useful and bought it. Obviously I was an idiot and therefore I apologise for wasting your time.

As i said in the original post, I'm a newbie.:o:o:o:o

Being a "Newbie" has nothing got to do with attitude.

If you seek assistance here? you should give as much detail as possible in the first instance (Regardless of how trivial you might think it is) as it will speed up an accurate response.

If requested to clarify something, you should do so without the attitude(Remember it's you that is seeking the help)

Do you really believe that helpful members here have nothing better to do then ask you dumb questions?

If you can't figure out why the source of a product may be useful, then you should ponder it a little further.

Have you tried running in windows xp compatability mode?

Usually doesnt work, but you never know...

gadget, as i said i'm a newbie to this and therefore not as experienced or knowledgable as some on this site.

However, I do NOT have an attitude to you nor wish to develop same.

I'm not sure what the difference is between buying a webcam in Atlantic/B&Q/Woodies compared to buying a webcam in PC World at excessive prices. Please inform me so that I know in the future.
