Are you looking for DTT from Northern Ireland (ie. Freeview), or the Irish DTT trial?

If it's DTT from NI, then you have your aerial pointed in the right direction, as there is Freeview transmitted from Brougher Mtn. However, you'd need a relatively good signal for the DTT to work. What's your analogue signals from Brougher Mtn. like?

I'd say your best bet is Mount Leinster, pointing southish towards Carlow if you're trying to pick up the Irish DTT test transmissions. Clermont Carn and Three Rock might be possible but unlikely to be worth it.

UK Freeview from Brougher Mountain would be highly unlikely, not only because of distance and low transmission power, but also because co-channel interference would likely knock out all but the main BBC & ITV/CH4 multiplex.

First step should be to check at what frequencies/UHF channels the current TV channels are picked up.

The better ones are from Cairn Hill, 799 (ch62) and 775 (ch59) could be Kippure and 719 (ch52) 751 (ch56) could be Clermont Carn.
Maybe you can get the irish dtt from Clermont Carn if you move the aerial better in that direction and change the polarisation to vertical.

When searching for channels, make sure you are scanning for ALL channels not just the free ones. The chanels are listed as encrypted, but they are still free, so you will have to set your STB to scan for encrypted channels in order to receive them.
