    Hi,

You guys and gals are the experts...

I'm getting married in Majorca this year. A photographer has been recommended to us. He charges 850 Euros for 3 hours work and a special package of 1.200 Euros for 6 hours work. The price is for softcopy photos only.
Looking at his wedding photography it seems OK but when I look at his other work, it seems to me to be a bit on the amateur side. This worries me. I'm wondering what you think. Is this guy a pro?

    Thanks

What are softcopy photos? He seems to have enough different Brides on his website and the other stuff seems fine. Depends on yourself for the price, maybe try to haggle a bit on the 1200 euros price. Best of luck

i presume softcopy is on CD or DVD - do you get access so you can print them?? thats important coz it could cost more to actually get prints - check that out! the stuff looks ok to me! the other work will never look the same as wedding stuff anyway so it's hard to compare,
if your not sure check out a few others i suppose.
    :)

Maybe a bad choice of word....digital photos, no prints.

    Not so bad

Some of his "Portraits" are rubbish!
His definition of celebrity differs greatly from my own.
Wedding stuff seems ok, but I wouldn't hire him without checking out what else is available.

If you're uncomfortable in any way then maybe just find someone else?
You don't want to be worrying on the day about whether or not you're going to be happy with the end result.

My advice is to ask to see a full wedding :)
and check out the competition locally !

Or the alternative would be to pay for me to come across. It would be great to add it to the list of destination weddings coming up. :p:D
