WD Diagnotic Tool

I have a Western Digital external hard drive that's failing... IO errors, etc.
I installed the WD Data LifeGaurd Diagnostics tool. And it fails on SMART status.
    I also get a Re-allocated Sector Count of 104.

Could anyone explain if this hard drive is salvageable, or is some of the data lost forever? :(

One more thing...I'm currently doing a defrag. Good or bad idea?

Bad. If the HD is suffering a physical failure the only action you want it to be doing is copying data from the HD to a backup media. Defragging it might hasten it's complete death (assuming it's not toast already). Defragging wouldn't be of any use anyway.
