I thought BOHs were pretty good altho not as good as the set in primavera last june. One of my mates was less impressed, calling them band of horse****e.

Not heard silversun pickups but used to really like a band called silver sun back in the britpop era.

Not a big deus fan altho like some of their stuff.

The first 2 bands you've mentioned are awesome. A mate said that dEUS are ****e but I might try them anyhow.

The Silversun Pickups album is decent, but there weren't too good when I saw them live.

Yea they were playing last summer, I was waiting in line for the main act but they didn't sound too good live.

For anyone wondering about dEUS - just have a listen to Instant Street on The Ideal Crash album. One of my all time favourite songs.

i really, realy liked carnavas. discovered them when I was in canada and caught the tail end of a set supporting snow patrol; they were pretty good.

what does band of horses sound like?

Remind me a little of Islands. Just has a second listen to BoH's album this morning. I like.

Was at the Band of Horses gig and it was good- some of the songs a bit closer to alt-country than alt-rock but they do have some great tunes that they played there- some from their previous work like The Funeral and Great Salt Lake and some good ones from the new album. You can download some tracks for free from subpop.com.

never post on this board, but dEUS are fecking great!

i sort of lost touch with them completely when "the ideal crash" came out, but the first two albums (less so that weird one that came between the first two ones that they wrote and recorded in the space of a week) are great!
