    Hi all,

The Windows Server 2008 User Group (Ireland) will be having it's first ever event on March 12th in the Westin Hotel in Dublin city centre at 19:30. This event will give people a chance to mingle with some of the leading experts on Windows Server in a smaller venue ... better to ask questions and get answers.

The speaker (I'll be announcing details soon) is a leading authority on Windows Server 2008.

Membership of the group is free. You can join on http://ws-ugi.spaces.live.com/ - once joined up you'll be getting an official invite for the event which you can accept. Spaces will be limited but we'll do our best to accomodate.

    - Aidan Finn.

The very first seminar held by the Windows Server 2008 User Group - Ireland. It's going to be held at the Westin Hotel in Dublin city centre on March 12th at 19:30 until around 21:00.

The speaker is David Lowe; the keynote speaker at the official MS Ireland Windows 2008 (and Visual Studio 2008 and SQL 2008) launch. David is the senior product manager for the Windows Server group at Microsoft, responsible for managing worldwide evaluation and deployment programs for Windows Server 2008. David has been with Microsoft since 2001, during which time he was a senior product manager for Security and IT Professional portfolios with Microsoft Learning. Before joining Microsoft, David was a senior lecturer in Internet technologies at the Centre for Advanced Technology Training in Dublin, Ireland, where he specialized in Web development and XML. David holds a bachelor of science degree from University College, Dublin, and coauthored BizTalk Server: The Complete Reference (McGraw-Hill Companies 2001).

It's going to be an interactive technical session - it should be VERY interesting and fun.

All are welcome - you'll just need to sign up to the group and then wait for and accept the invite.

I hope to see you there!
