I would like to make the Suggestion that you put up the prices. I recomend that your betting decision be based on value not just picking who you think will win

Blackburn away vs Newcastle - 17/10 .... Maybe draw no bet 10/11
Reason - Newcastle disastorous run of form, balckburn back on track chasing europe, newcastle seem to freeze at home, especially of they dont get a good start, and all season they have had a terrible attackin threat

Only one bet for me for certain depending on Torres.

Bolton v Liverpool (Liverpool 5/6 Bamburys)

We all know Liverpool's problems of late but lets face it they're playing Bolton. Bolton are going grand in the UEFA cup but in their last 4 at home recently in the Prem they drew with Fulham and just about beat Derby. Portsmouth and Blackburn went there and beat them. I think Liverpool oughta do the same. I'm just going to make sure Torres is playing!

Others i'm considering at the moment:

Colchester v Wolves (Wolves 6/4 Bamburys)
Cheltenham v Southend (Southend 13/8 Boyles)
Millwall v Bristol Rovers (Millwall 13/10 VCBet)
Peterboro v Bury (Peterboro 1/2 Pretty much everywhere!)

Edit: Southend with Boyles has been cut to 6/4 from 13/8. I'd consider them down as low as 11/8 anyway.

Leeds @ 6/4 (Boyles) for me at Swindon. Performances not been great lately but still snatching draws. Squad is boosted this week with the return of Thompson and Kilkenny, 2 midfielders Leeds are badly missing. Beckford back from suspension and O'Halloran in from Villa. More value there for me than doing the likes of Liverpool at odds on. (champions league next week, who knows what yer man will do)!

Thanks for that JonnyC but I think you misunderstood - I'm not looking for suggestions for myself, i'm sparking conversation & discussion like every weekend...

For my €10 free bet on betfair I'm going to be a bit more adventurous than usual -

    1 Nantes v Libourne (Backing Nantes @ 1.38)
2 Club Brugge v Charleroi (Backing Club Brugge @ 1.42)
3 Fulham v Man Utd (Backing Man Utd OR The Draw @ 1.07)
    4 Olympiacos v Asteras Tripolis (Backing Olympiacos @ 1.36)
5 Sampdoria v Torino (Backing Sampdoria OR The Draw @ 1.24)
    6 W Bremen v Dortmund (Backing W Bremen OR The Draw @ 1.21)

Pays 4.25 which is not bad at all.

they didn't have a euro slip in the bookies today, and tbh, reviewing my choices I'm not particularly confident, however:

wins for spurs, sunderland, utd, west brom, mk dons, aldershot, rangers and a draw for arse. 77/1

wins for arse, utd, west ham, cardiff, salisbury + draws at newcastle & derby : 183/1

wins for chelsea, northampton, wycombe, peterborough, salisbury, rangers: 18/1

    £5 on each.

    and
wins for Utd, west brom, palace and draws for berwick and orient: 130/1
    £2 staked.

think i'll review the first one and remove my slightly wishful thinking regarding arsenal v villa, although at 12/5 the draw isn't a dreadful bet.

I'd love to explain all my thinking but it would take too long :-)

How come? The way it works is you bet your tenner then they credit your account within 24 hours. Once you're an existing customer.

Hmmmm that's strange. Did it go to your junk mail by any chance? Mine said that every existing member was getting a free bet. They better credit my account.

    Limerick IT @ 5 - 6
    Norwich @ 5 - 6
    Cardiff @ 10 - 11
    Mansfield And Draw @ 4 - 7

    All works out @ 10-1

Went for a big treble on

    Chelsea
    Man Utd
    Sunderland

    Think its about 4.5/1

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 482 ✭✭Mont

Treble for the weekend (bigger accums are meaningless imo)

    Everton beat Portsmouth 10/11
    West Ham beat Chelsea 4/1
    Blackburn beat Newcastle 17/10

    Pays around 24/1

    Stick a score on it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 51 ✭✭metafora

went for the same treble aswell
    Man Utd,Chelsea and Sunderland

checked my junkmail, never spotted it. i'll send an email to customer services. i've not been a member for very long (maybe six weeks?) so that might be it but i'm still annoyed about it if i'm honest. only for here i wouldn't have known about it like.

Guys dont slate me....i was out all day so forgive the afterpost but just have to share:D

I had a €50 4 team accum which paid €2100, TY Mr P Power for the monies, Arsenal left it late and it was looking like this was going to be written down as another "nearly what if bets"

    Villa Draw
    Motherwell Draw
    Swansea Win
    West Brom

Slightly off topic, i took the prices from the PP coupon and stated the prices on the docket but they paid out on shorter odds (i think on the Villa draw and Swansea win), can they do this? it cost me €200 on my bet today

    Yup.

i thought they can only pay out the day after the results come in cause they go by the results in the paper the next day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 289 ✭✭Kinda32

They usually take the results from opta index. They have the scores not long after the matches are over. Coupon prices are not valid if you write them on a slip. Coupons might be printed on a thursday and the shop may not have reprinted them to reflect any price changes.. Same has happened me before and thats what they told me

I had to wait until around 5.45 to be paid out, i normally do my bets online and rarely use the bookies

How exactly was that an off topic post not to mention he's a succesfull regular which gives him carte blanche.

As for me, nothing really leaps off the page for me so I'm giving this weekend a miss

Anyone any thoughts on Bordeaux : Paris SG tonight. 10/11 seems to be a good price for bordeaux imo. They are 6 points behind leaders lyon with a game in hand so surely they will push hard to win this match to close the gap to 3. Anyone know where I can get team news for this match?
