To itouch or not to itouch...

I have been a mac user for about 5 years now, which is about the same age as my ipod, its one of the second generation 40gb ones so its pretty old( could be even more than 5 years i dunno)
The problem with my ipod is that its crap, the battery lasts for 3 ish hours and to use it i have to rub it to create friction to heat up the damm thing other wise it won't even turn on. As today is payday i'm going to get a new ipod but can't decide over an ipod classic or an itouch. 16gb seems small considering i have 13g of music.
So it boils down to this, do i get the itouch with small memory but sweet features or an ipod classic with more memory and standard features.
Also would there be much point in waiting for a second generation of itouchs to come out?

Like anything else in the industry - if you keep waiting for a better model to come along, you'd end up never buying anything. Just go for it.
I'm going to sell my touch and get a 160Gb ipod classic, since I've got over my fling with a touch screen and need more hard drive space.

My 30GB 3G iPod was finishing off its second battery. Decision had to be made, 80GB or 16Gb touch. I have 23Gb of music alone. Luckily, there were no Classics to be had in tesco for their 30% back promo. Best decision I made. I put the music I actually lusten to on it, as well as a full series of the wire and loads of photos. It is a most magnificent piece of kit.30Gb is now car-bound, with a charger permanently in place and a Belkin FM transmitter. best of both worlds.

Gets on my t!ts as well when someone calls it an iTouch

    This is an iTouch.

My advice would be to buy the iPod Touch 32GB if you can afford it. The wifi, full web browser and video playback on a decent sized screen are a sight to behold. Oh and the touch screen is pretty neat too ;)

Definitely go for the 32gig iPod Touch. With dollar exchange rates, it's a crime not to!!

All Apple products are sold at a flat price set by Apple themselves. The odd time you'll find somewhere selling them for a few quid cheaper but it's hit and miss most of the time. Obviously eBay might have cheaper ones but other than that you'll be paying the prices on www.apple.ie/store

How did you get yours from amazon.com when they don't post electronics here? I suppose Ebay would be the cheapest place to buy one?

MobilePreview - mobile version of osx preview.
MobileScrobbler - internet radio and track logging on the go.
