We are doing our fireplace in stone and would like some suggestions on what type of stone to use. The stone we have for the outside of the house won't do as its too dirty so we need to get stone like fernhill stone but I don't like anything they have on their website. has anyone got any other suggestions. I am in the Munster area. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Polished Granite, limestone or marble. There are a few different treatments that are suitable. Ensure you let the supplier know its a fireplace as there will be a joint in the centre because of this
