    Newborn slips through train toilet

A newborn girl survived an ignoble birth after slipping down the toilet bowl of a moving Indian train onto the tracks when a pregnant woman unexpectedly gave birth while relieving herself.

"My delivery was so sudden," said the Bhuri Kalbi, the mother of the infant, born two months prematurely on Tuesday.

"I did not even realise that my child had slipped from the hole in the toilet."

Kalbi, a 33-year-old woman from a village in Rajasthan, fainted on the toilet seat after the birth for a few minutes before waking up and alerting her family.

"They stopped the train and ran on the tracks to find the baby," she said, speaking from her hospital bed in the western city of Ahmedabad.

Railway staff at a nearby station were alerted and soon found the newborn girl lying uninjured on pebbles by the track.

She is now in intensive care because of her premature birth, doctors said.

Most toilets on Indian trains are filthy chutes emptying directly onto the tracks.

Must've been one hell of a vindaloo.....

I've had some big shíts, but that's impressive. Would the umbilical cord not still have been attached?

Wtfff there's so many bizarre things about that story.

That's what I was thinking. Would it break from the weight of the baby though?

maybe the wheel ran over the cord and cut it...

For some reason I always thought an umbilical cord was like a bungee rope so maybe the baby fell out and bounced back in again.

I wonder if it was deliberate.

People crapping out babies is old news. Where do you think the ASBO crowd comes from?

There's a lovely little tale for that baby girl to tell her grandchildren some day.

Reminds me of the barrackbuster I unloaded on an Indian train from Mumbai to Poona some years ago.

Had a huge "Bombay Hotttie" the previous night, scotch bonnet the lot, and about a third of the way to Poona the walnut was in the shape of a full moon.
Eventually found a privvy, sure enough,a hole in the floor with the sleepers whizzing below.
However I was four fingers dilated as they say and unloaded about a 5pounder onto the tracks.
Indian trains are not fast so I'd say that ladies story is feasable.

I must say it brought back happy memories.

 Thats madness! I reckon she fainted from the smell off her fart, nevermind the birth! Imagine what was going through her head. "My goodness, I have a massive turd to do. Sure here we go "uuuuuuggggh, push" ah thats better! Mustve been a biggie, my belly went down. Actually, wait....(anxiously winding up the umbilical cord) noooo, my baby :("

Wasnt Rambo born the same way? I always remember that story. He was brought up by crocodiles in the sewer or something!

Talk about a shitty trainwreck of a birth.

    World's youngest bungee jumper...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Ah here, this doesn't sound at all possible. I'm no doctor or anything, but doesn't a woman have to push to get a baby out?! She cant have thought she was that constipated.

So eh, did the baby grab a scissors and cut the umbilical cord itself?

I don't believe that's true, I heard the same story a few years ago except the only difference was that it happened in china

What do you people think the other end of the umbilical cord is attached to? The fact that no-one was on hand to cut the cord isn't the most implausible part of this story.

Butt babies eh!? *strokes chin and nods thoughtfully*

Poor baby. The first thing it sees is sh1t.

I know women have big arseholes, but they still have to push the sh1te out. It's the same muscles.

Of course it's possible. As the other poster said, what do you think the other end of the cord is attached to? You think it's anchored to a concrete bollard? The mind boggles.

My sister had her child in the toilet! She thought she 'had to go' and tried to push out a brown trout, but said trout turned out to be a squawking human.

Happens all the time, if you ask me, just not in such a spectacular fashion as the original poster's story.

It's not just an urban myth type story though, it's in today's news. With pics.

But yeah, seems implausible. If it wasn't for the umbilical cord babies could end up being popped out in the most bizarre of places. Slow coach is right. Going for a dump is sometimes enough pressure to push the babby out.

I don't see how the kid was shat out.

It says she was relieving herself, usually means peeing.

No mention of it coming the anus AFAIK.

The anal opening is very close to the vaginal opening - they're a continuation of each other. Pushing in order to put pressure on one area is sufficient for the other.

Failed infanticide attempt covered up to look like an accident? Well the whole umbilical cord thing is strange all right.

I remember I was on the drink one night and the next morning I shat out something that resembled a rugby ball, it turned out to be an american football

Maybe she ended up flushing both the baby and the afterbirth.
