in before a possible move to some other forum.

where are you planning on downloading stuff. purchasing from the itunes store?

    if so it's fairly easy.
Once the music is downloaded, just create a new playlist by hitting the + sign in the bottom left hand corner of itunes.

Then drag the tracks you want to burn to this playlist.

then click on the playlist and you'll see a burn disc button on the bottom right. Stick in your cdr, click burn, wait a few minutes and voila!

If you're downloading from anywhere else just drag the files you've downloaded into itunes and they will be copied to your itunes library.

Sorry for jumping in. I am not good with downloading music etc. But I want to download a copy of the song Galway Girl for a friend who has a problem with her pc. Can I do this free and legal and what isthe best format? MP3 to then burn to CD? Apparently this song cannot be bought as a single CD

If you want a song, pay for it. mucktar, as someone has pointed out there is lots of help on the apple websites showing you how to purchase music in itunes and to burn tracks to CD. I suggest you consult that.
