my amp has started to sound funny when i use the od channel on it. i can't but my guitar on treble and it just sounds awful.also you can hear a clicking sound coming from the amp when the guitar isn't been played. what could be the problem.

What sort of amp is it? This would help us figure out the problem a lot.

    Have you checked the cables?

    Gick!

Well, not to be blunt, but I think this is a good opportunity to ditch the MG and get a somewhat decent amp instead.

If i was now in your position, having to buy a new amp.....i would be looking at an ENGL 50w Thunder or maybe even the Screamer version.
Check out ENGL amps on youtube. The Thunder model is about €750 on Thomann.

I am having nightmares with my Marshall JVM410c at about €1400 or so.

Peavy valve king 212.. its €499 on thoman.de

I have one. I play with a fender strat usa with emg-dg 20 active pickups... The amp will rip your head off at volume 3. Its a 100 watt class A.. class AB wired amp. You can select how much from each circut you want at the back.. the sound is awesome. have gotten many compliments at gigs with it.

€499 for a 100 watt valve amp!!!! you cannot go wrong man
