Word Problem with Backgrounds

How do you get white writing on a black background in Word?
I was told that the only way was to use the borders and shading thing in Format, but when i save that as a PDF it comes up with white lines all over it and has a little white border all around the edge where it can't print.

Is there any way to change this?

Basically what i am looking for is a full black background in a PDF.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

Click format then background you should get a pallet of colours and pick black? Then set the font colour to white?
