United Airlines Booking

Just booking a ticket with United Airlines to the States and when I went to fill in the Billing Information they just have a default option for Country-United States. You can't put in Ireland, which means I can't put in my address as they just have US States for options and you have to put in a Zip Code.

Anyone know anything about to help me? Can Irish people book off the United Airlines website?

    Thanks.

If you're using the US (united.com) version of the site, it may not let you book from outside the USA.

The UK site only seems to allow for UK based booking. You may have to resort to telephoning their reservations centre on +44 845 844 4777

    Thanks for the reply.

I just went on the UK website, searched for the cheapest flight, they brought up the same one that the American site did. So I thought, ah perfect that's that sorted then. However the difference is that the American site priced the flight at $977.20 which roughly translates to about €645, whereas the British site priced it at £636.10 which translates to about €833. Come on, there's either something seriously wrong with those websites or I'm doing something messed up! Arghhh this is driving me crazy.

Try it on ebookers.ie they should quote you united. but be carefull with united if you have to change they make it real awkward if you have booked with an agent. But they are quite cheap and incredably good at losing your bags.. 4 flights with them last summer, bags lost twice!

Yeah, thanks, jsut checked ebookers. They didn't qoute United Airlines. Their cheapest was Aer Lingus at €790. Ah jaysus I think I'll just fecking stump up the extra money for Aer Lingus, although it would be a pity to miss out a flight that is €150 cheaper!

San Francisco, from Dublin. Happy to fly through any other city enroute to make it as cheap as possible(as long as it doesn't get to the point of ridiculous, i.e. stopping off in loads of different cities).

Did ya try Kayak.com? Comparison helps me sometimes. Or Jet Blue from NY, not sure if they are still doing that deal to SF

What travel dates have you in mind?

I flew to SFO with AA for less than €500 a few weeks ago.

Yeah well I will be leaving Dublin in mid-June and returning in Mid-August, meaning the height of the summer meaning more expensive tickets!

    Thanks, I'll look up kayak.com

Hmm I'm getting €529 from dublin

    Delta €529 return
DUB to ATL to OAK Mon June 16
OAK to ATL to DUB Wed Aug 20

    Delta/US Airways €590 return
DUB to ATL to OAK Tue, June 17
SFO to PHL to DUB Wed Aug 20

Search around, choose flexible dates and look at nearby airports like OAK and SJO
Also head to etravel.ie to book with United.
