    Hey guys,

Would you mind giving me some recommendations on good games that are out at the moment? Will probably pick something up in town tomorrow. Is Devil May Cry out yet? I know Turok is but I've heard bad things about that.

Devil May Cry has been out a few weeks now and well worth the price. Army Of Two is out next week I think.

TBH the SP game is pretty cack. But if you buy UT thinking its for SP, you deserve to be disappointed. Online its a dream though. And I love the keyboard and mouse support.

Also, if you have the game, go to the Epic site and download some of the user created maps. Some really imaginative ones there. In a few months, I expect it to beat Halo's Forge thing hands down.

Unless you already own it, obviously, I would get Uncharted, a very very nice game indeed, although, due to it's relative brevity, you may be better served renting it over a long weekend, the game features great adventuring and the absolute best motion cap and voice acting I have yet to see, brilliant.

I was a bit scooby-dubious at the start, graphics wise it seemed closer to Resistance than Call fo Duty 4. But as soon as I figured out the hover board and vehicle usage, it got real good.

Yeah, bought it, thought it was pretty good. Traded it in a while back.

    O-BLI-VI-ON!!!

Can't believe no one mentioned this yet. Oh, and Uncharted is also well worth it. Resistance is excellent, especially the online play, and ditto for Call Of Duty 4.

I finished Jericho a while back. Very interesting take on the FPS idea for me. Took a good while to get through, great the way you can switch to team mates to use their powers. Can't understand why it got bad reviews, I'm looking forward to the supposed sequel. Finished GRAW2 last night - And I thought Uncharted was short!!!!

Army of Two came out this week and has been getting fairly decent reviews.

Gonna leave myself open here but burnout paradise is great. One of the best car games out now. spent the first few hours just driving round alot of the time just crashing to see the replay! :D

GT5 Prologue is on the horizon, that'll be a nice purchase, Gamestop are offering a groovy GT5 man-bag with preorders as well, which is nice if that's your bag baby, no pun intended.

Sorry to bump the thread ,but I can get jericho at play for 24.20 at the moment.

Is it worth it for that price?

I would say yes, definitely. Even if you trade it in, you'll get more than that for it.

Nice one ,hopefully I won't have to trade it ;)

For racing Burnout Paradise or GT5 Prologue. I don't even like cars and I'm addicted to those two. There are loads of shooters, though Uncharted seems to get great reviews from everyone.

My personal recommendation though, which I'm surprised no one mentioned above, is Star Wars Lego the complete series. Slick, fun and classy it also has decades of play in it. Literally decades! Its an amazingly enjoyable game to play with your mates.

COD4, UT3 and Warhawk are the only other essentials imo

Very good game but not a patch on Ratchet and Clank.

Cod4 and GT5 prologue are both amazing, they are two games which made me wish the ps3 had a multi-disk changer, im constantly up and down from ps3 changing disks and playing online...

Incidentally, the recent update to pes 2008 has improved it a lot, was nicely surprised the other day playing against my mates (not online)

there are a hell of a lot of new games coming out with the usuall amount of crap,i dont know what ur format is so heres just a few,if u like racing formula 1 championship ,gran turismo prologe or forza 2 are the best of a bad bunch, assasins creed is ok not that great a lot of hype over graphics as there sould be its on the ps3,tigr woods is ace even if u dont like golf its addictive, any rainbow six game is also good hope this helps, its allways a good idea to rent a game for a couple of days to see if you like it first,
