5400 vs 7200 (big capacity vs small)

Im looking at a couple of configurations on a Dell:
    320gb (2x160) Raid 0 7200rpm
    500gb (2x250) Raid 0 5400rpm +20euro

Either size would be grand for my needs, so im just curious about performance. I've heard a 'bigger drives are denser and hence negate the performance difference between a small faster one' argument - any opinion on this one?

generally the higher the rpm of the drive the faster the seek time will be... improved performance...

Yup, the 2 7400rpm drives will perform a hell of alot better.

I can't believe Dell are still fitting drives slower than 7200 RPM to anything that's not a laptop.
