who should hatton fight next?a quick google search has setanta reporting that he will fight Juan Lazcano(37wins/4losses).
I understand that he wants to fight in machester but would he not be better off fighting a bigger name so as to attract a tv deal from the states.
Its also frustrating that he wont fight witter,it would an excellent fight.

Is there a case to be made that despite all the excitement he brings that Hatton is not all he is cracked up to be?

Hatton is coming back from a v hard fight in which he got knocked out -
I think he is entitled to a handy fight before stepping back up in class again.

Every fight can't be a war, or it will shorten the length of time he has at the top level.

i expect his next fight after this will be a big name - if that is Witter, well that depends on the American TV people who pay him big wages.
If they don't think Witter will draw enough viewers in the US, its not going to happen for a long time

I dont think fans would knock Hatton for coming back with a fight against the likes of Lazcano (just beat by Harris who it turn got KO'd by Witter!) is he gave an indication that he would fight Witter.

But maybe Hatton does intend fighting Witter and "Team Hatton" are playing the public in an attempt to create more of a buzz about the fight.

I wouldnt knock Hatton for fighting Lazcano in May if he takes 3 fights this year like his team his said,
the other 2 being Mallignaggi and Witter.
Hatton is recognised as the number one light welter, so should only fight top opposition/other champions.

Plus the sooner the witter fight the better as at 33 he is getting on and i wouldnt like to see it somewhere down the line if witter was past it.

    any updates on witter-hopkins?

Mayweather is apparently coming to Britain to watch this fight.
